Convenient Home Charging Options

Installing a Home Charging Station is easy and allows ZDX drivers to charge at their convenience. Acura Home Electrification (AHE) will connect ZDX drivers with dedicated Energy Advisors to better understand their home charging options, from installing an Acura Home Charging Station to upgrading an outlet for a Portable Charging Kit. AHE Energy Advisors will also work with ZDX drivers to identify which home charging and electrification rebates and incentives they are eligible for to help them maximize savings.

ZDX Charging Packages

Choose from one of three charging packages included in the MSRP of the ZDX. EVgo public charging credits can be redeemed through the Acura EV app to be used for the EVgo charging network and their roaming partners such as ChargePoint.

2024 Acura ZDX Acura EV Home Charging Station

Package A: Home Charging Bundle

For the fastest home charging for your ZDX, this charging package includes an Acura Home Charging Station, a $500 AHE installation credit and $100 charging credit on the EVgo charging network.^*

Package B: Portable Charging Bundle

The Portable Charging Kit offers the flexibility of plugging into a standard 3-prong outlet or an appliance outlet. This package includes a Portable Charging Kit, a $250 AHE installation credit to upgrade your outlet and $300 in charging credit on the EVgo charging network.^*

Package C: Public Charging Credit

Already have a home or portable charging solution? Package C offers a $750 charging credit on EVgo charging network that can be used on EVgo fast chargers and their roaming partner stations.^*

Convenient Charging On The Road

ZDX drivers can choose from two different types of charging stations while on the road. DC Fast Charging (DCFC) stations are located across the country and provide the highest-power charging option, with the ZDX A-Spec^® with RWD designed to get up to 81 miles of range with a 10-minute charge.^* Another option is Level 2 charging stations, often found at convenient locations like shopping centers, hotels and restaurants, making it easy to charge while on the go.

Yes, most EV owners prefer to charge their vehicles at home because it’s more convenient and cost effective than public charging stations. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, more than 80% of EV charging is done at home^* because residential charging is typically less expensive than public charging and can be done overnight while the EV is parked.

I can’t install a home charger at my home. Are there other charging options?

Home charging on a Level 2 device is typically the most convenient, but the rising number of public charging stations in some areas makes it possible to solely use public stations. Many EV drivers often rely on chargers at their workplace. Search for charging stations using our Charging Station Locator Map.

What are the different charging station levels?

EV drivers can choose from two different EV charging station levels. DC Fast Charging (DCFC) stations are located across the country and provide the highest-power charging option, with the ZDX A-Spec with RWD designed to get up to 81 miles of range with a 10-minute charge.^* Another option is Level 2 charging stations, often found at convenient locations like shopping centers, hotel and restaurants, which can charge the ZDX up to 29.4 miles per hour.

Do I have to pay for the charging package?

ZDX drivers can choose one of the three charging packages offered by Acura as part of the MSRP.

I already have an EV charging station at home. Which charging package should I choose?

If you already have a home charging station, Package C is the ideal choice as it includes $750 in public charging credits. You can redeem these charging credits at participating public charging stations through the Acura EV App.

Where do I purchase another charging unit or get a replacement?

The Acura Home Charging Station and Portable Charging Kit are Genuine Acura Accessories. These accessories are available as an additional order during the purchase process. You can also find them through DreamShop, the official Acura online marketplace for Genuine Acura Accessories, or at your local Acura dealership.

Who do I contact if I have issues with my charging equipment?

Your Acura Home Charging Station or Portable Charging Kit owner’s manual contains resources to help troubleshoot your charging equipment. Alternatively, you can contact Acura Client Relations toll free at (800) 382-2238 from Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm PST.

How do I use my Acura EV app to charge my ZDX at home?

Plug your charge connector into your ZDX and charging will start based on your Charge Mode setting. The app will show the charging status, such as current battery state of charge (SOC) and time remaining. You can also stop a charge from the app.

Will the ZDX come with the adapter for charging with NACS?

Currently, the 2024 Acura ZDX does not come equipped with a NACS adapter. However, we expect to be able to start offering the NACS adapter later this year (2024). We’ll be offering more details as they become available. Please note that we don’t endorse the use of third-party adapters that are not Honda or Acura approved.
